I've had my 08 2litre auris 5 months now and apart from a one off random alarm about 2 months ago I've never had an issue. Since Sunday morning (really early!) it went off about 6 times over 3 or 4 hours.
Nothing when away and parked up later (that I'm aware of anyway) when I came home it went off twice within about 5 minutes. I had a bike in the car so the rear seats where down and even though I'm sure it wasn't moving to trigger it I removed it and put the rear seats up etc. I thought this had sorted it as it kept quiet but after heading out and coming home again it's went off a couple of times in the last 2 hours. The first time after which I seemed to successfully deactivate the intrusion sensor (even though there's nothing in the car to set it off anyway).
A bit of googling suggests generic not auris specific issues - maybe water playing havoc with switches or faulty sensor. Has anyone had an issue with this on an auris before?
The car is not being affected by rain or wind or anything else. It's in the same position with the same contents since it was bought. To ensure an interrupted nights sleep for me and the neighbours I was considering removing the fuse but can't find which one the alarm is on in the book and I'm scared I'll wreck something if I pull out the wrong one! Any handy way to just isolate the Battery? Even a way to do it removing the connectors to the Battery?
